Celebrating 29 Years of

Faithful Leadership

And Welcoming Pastor Matt Ellis as Lead Pastor

Tower Hill Church is excited to announce that Pastor Matt Ellis has been affirmed by the members as our next Lead Pastor.

Pastor Matt will assume this role following the retirement of Pastor Garry Hamilton on Sunday, June 21, 2026, marking the close of an extraordinary 29 years of faithful leadership.

This moment represents both celebration and gratitude. Celebration for what lies ahead, and deep gratitude for the foundation that has brought us here.

Looking Ahead with

Confidence

Pastor Matt EllisPastor Matt, along with his wife, Julianne, and their two children, has faithfully served Tower Hill Church for 19 years. Beginning as Youth Pastor, he has grown through multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as Community Pastor, demonstrating a deep and lasting commitment to this church family.

Throughout nearly two decades of ministry, Pastor Matt has demonstrated a deep love for people, a strong commitment to Scripture, and a passion for discipleship and outreach. His long-standing investment in our church family has helped strengthen connections within the congregation while expanding meaningful engagement throughout the surrounding community.

The membership affirmation reflects unity and confidence as we step into this new season. Pastor Matt’s leadership will build upon the church’s strong biblical foundation while continuing to pursue the mission that has shaped Tower Hill for generations.

We believe this transition is not simply a change in leadership, it is a continuation of God’s faithfulness to our church.

Honoring a Remarkable

Legacy

Pastor Garry Hamilton

At the same time, we pause to honor Pastor Garry Hamilton for nearly three decades of devoted service. Since 1997, Pastor Garry has led Tower Hill Church with humility, integrity, and steadfast conviction. His preaching, pastoral care, and vision have shaped countless lives and established a lasting spiritual legacy.

Pastor Garry has consistently reminded us of the importance of “The Word and Prayer, and Prayer and the Word.” A simple yet powerful rhythm that has anchored his leadership and shaped the spiritual culture of our church. Under his leadership, Tower Hill Church has experienced seasons of growth, strengthened community impact, and deepened commitment to Loving People to Life. His faithfulness has positioned the church for a strong and healthy future.

We are profoundly grateful for the example he has set and the foundation he leaves.

Moving Forward in

Unity

Transitions can be meaningful and emotional, but they are also opportunities for renewed vision and fresh momentum. As we prepare for June 21, 2026, we do so with excitement, trust, and anticipation for all that God will continue to do in and through Tower Hill Church.

We invite our church family and community to join us in prayer asking for wisdom, strength, and God’s blessing over Pastor Matt as he prepares to lead and thanking God for Pastor Garry’s faithful leadership and lasting impact. The best chapters of Tower Hill’s story are still being written.

  • Thank for being there to comfort and officiate the Celebration of Life ceremony of my first wife, Keny Judith Corson. Of all the Bible verses given me at that time by various Christians inside and outside Tower Hill, only the Bible verse you recommended was spot on.
I didn’t understand the meaning of it fully and had asked the Lord to reveal it to me. But while on the Appalachian Trail in 2023 (completed in 2024) from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mt Katahdin, Maine, the Lord revealed the meaning of it to me.
Thank you. And may the Lord continue to bless you in your continued ministry for the Lord.
