The questions we like to ask about God are numerous: "Is God real?" "Does God care about my situation?" and "Is what we know about Him really true?", just to list a few. The Bible may not answer every question about God, but one thing is for certain God has revealed himself through His son, Jesus.
Jesus tells one of his disciples, Philip, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). That is a pretty remarkable statement! Jesus is literally saying he is God! C.S Lewis, a well-known Christian author wrote of Jesus, “Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
Jesus is God and he left a perfect heaven to enter an imperfect world so that he could save sinners like us! That's why the name of Jesus is above all other names. He is King, Lord, Savior, and Friend. He is "Immanuel", God with us.
"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life."
